AFGA Conducted LARC Training on FP and RH

With the financial support of UNFPA and technical support of MoPH, AFGA conducted 8 rounds of Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptive (LARC) trainings for 103 participants in Kabul and Balkh Provinces, attended by midwives from different provinces of the country. 

 The 5 rounds of LARC trainings were conducted in Rabia Balkhi Maternity Hospital in Kabul where 76 midwives of logar, Laghman, Parwan, Kapisa, Nangarhar and Bamyan Provinces received the training. 

 

3 batches of the training were conducted in Balkh Regional Hospital for the 27 midwives of northeren region provinces including Balkh, Badakhshan, Takhar, Baghlan, Kunduz and Faryab. 

During the trainings, the midwives were trained to provide quality Intrauterine Contraceptive Device IUCD, reproductive health, family planning, and implant services to the clients.

Through these trainings, AFGA aims to enhance the capacity of midwives in reproductive health.
