Introduction of JTF Project:

Afghan Family Guidance Association (AFGA) was awarded a project with the title of “Increase access to quality SRH-HIV integrated services to vulnerable, marginalized and underserved population especially young women and girls in four provinces (Kabul, Kapisa, Parwan) of Afghanistan with the goal of Reducing unmet sexual reproductive health needs of the vulnerable especially poor, marginalized and underserved population through a multi-pronged approach of enhancing access to quality integrated SRH services. The overall objective of the project is to increase access of 88312 vulnerable population especially young women and girls to SRH services and information in the stated provinces to raise awareness on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and engage with community leaders to ensure a supportive environment for women and girl’s access to SRH services. The duration of the grant is for the period of 48 months (January 2020 to December 2021). AFGA is providing these services through 5 outreach midwives in Kapisa, one static clinic and 5 outreach midwives in Parwan, and one mobile health clinic in Kabul province.

We have the below-mentioned services in mentioned districts and villages of the three provinces.

The Service Delivery Points and the Services

  • Mobile Health Team located in Kabul province is providing SRHR services in (6) districts.
  • Kapisa Outreach Midwives Delivering SRHR services in (49) different districts and villages.
  • Parwan static clinic and outreach midwives delivering SRHR services in (27) districts and villages
